Welcome to the first annual Student of Color Conference at San Diego State University.
Our conference was born of the idea that to be a student, particularly a student of color is radical. We aim to address the needs of our fellow students from perspectives relative to them, understanding of their experiences, and respectful of their identities as integral components of their student life. We want to empower students of color, to stand in solidarity with students of color, and to create a space for students of color to heal. We understand the value in honing leadership skills, in encouraging campus involvement, and fostering outreach from a place of cultural empowerment and uplift.
